Enjoy sipping on a fun  twist on the drink classic with this Electric Long Island Iced Tea.

If Elsa from Frozen had a signature drink, we imagine it to be something like this one.

A delicious, fizzy, citrusy drink with a gorgeous ice blue color. So naturally, were calling this drink, Elsa’s Frozen Cocktail.

Inspired by a Long Island Iced Tea, this is like that drink, but blue and made with blue curacao.

Try our Frozen Inspired Drink – Elsa’s Frozen Cocktail, a twist on a Long Island Iced Tea

Our bright blue Elsa’s Frozen Cocktail is a yummy electric Long Island Iced Tea.

Taking its inspiration from a Long Island Ice Tea, this recipe flips the traditional LIT recipe a bit.

This version has more citrus, and well, it’s blue.

Perfect for a Frozen themed cocktail.

We’ve replaced the Coca-Cola with Sprite and added in blue curaçao both for color and its delicious orange flavor.

So pretend you’re hanging out with Elsa and Anna, and maybe Olaf.

So when your kid is watching Frozen for the 25th time, make one of these.

Let it go, and enjoy!

What is an Electric Long Island Iced Tea?

When you add blue curacao to a drink, it often gets the word electric added to its name.

Like this Electric Blue Margarita and our Sparkling Electric Lemonade.

The blue is so bright and absolutely stunning that it really adds something special to a drink.

Hence, the name.

So we’re calling this drink a type of electric long island iced tea because of it’s beautiful blue color and because it’s really similar to an LIT.

It’s a  great drink to serve year round, particularly since it’s also made with lemonade.

We’ve shown it styled for a Frozen party or for the winter.

But it’s really good to serve year round.

Simply leave off the snowflake garnish and enjoy.

In fact, the only thing wintery about the drink is the snowflake.

So if you leave that off, it’s perfect for your summertime and patriotic themed events.

Elsa’s Frozen Cocktail has just over 200 calories, clocking in at 213.

If you’d like to get it down below 200, you may substitute Diet Sprite for Sprite and / or Diet Lemonade for Lemonade.

  • 3 oz Lemonade
  • 1-2 oz Sprite
  • 1/2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz Vodka
  • 1/2 oz Rum
  • 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
  • 1/2 oz Tequila
  • Optional: White Chocolate Candy Melts, for garnish

How to make Elsa’s Frozen Cocktail

Fill your glass with ice to chill.

In a mixing glass, add liquors and lemonade.

Stir well.

Pour into the glass over ice.

Top with Sprite and enjoy!

How to make a White Chocolate Snowflake Garnish

Melt a small number of white chocolate or vanilla flavored candy melts per the package instructions.

Once melted, fill a piping bag with the melted candy.

Snip a small hole in the corner of the bag, or use a piping tip that’s ideal for handwriting.

On a piece of wax paper, trace a snowflake design on it with a marker and allow to dry.

You should be able to see the patterns when the paper is upside down.

You want the snowflakes to be about an inch and a half in diameter.

To do so easily, draw a circle and divide a circle into sixths by drawing a line down the center.

Then draw an X on top of that.

Easily embellish the snowflakes by making a V shape on the end of each line.

Turn the wax paper over, and pipe along your hand-drawn snowflake.

Allow to cool and thoroughly dry.

Using a thin spatula, gently lift the dried snowflakes from the wax paper and store to use as a cocktail garnish.

The snowflake garnishes also look great on cupcakes too.

Just poke one end in a generous amount of frosting so that it’s well supportive and you’ve had a cute cupcake topper too!
