Strawberry and Blueberry Sangria

Strawberry and Blueberry Sangria is one of the easiest sangria recipes out there – and one of the tastiest.

It’s one of the reasons I’m known for my sangria recipes whenever I entertain.

This drink is a serious summertime crowdpleaser.

Whenever we have guests over, it’s an easy way to serve a tasty beverage for a crowd.

Sangria tastes good, especially a sweet one like this patriotic-themed red, white & berry sangria.

You’ll love serving strawberry and blueberry sangria

This mixed berry sangria recipe really hits the spot.

Even better, it’s so easy to make a good berry sangria!

While our berry sangria is certainly a gorgeous red, white, and blue drink, it’s truly a yummy drink to serve all season long.

No patriotic holiday required.

4th of July sangria

But of course, whenever you have a drink recipe made with strawberries and blueberries, it’s a natural fit for the patriotic holidays.

So whether you’re planning a backyard barbecue for the 4th of July or just want something yummy to sip, this patriotic sangria fits the bill.

It’s an easy 4th of July pitcher cocktail.

Fill up a pitcher and just call it a “Red, White, and Berry” drink!

And you’re friends will want the recipe!

It’s truly one of my favorite recipes for sangria with moscato and rum!

Can I make the berry sangria ahead of time?

I can make most of my red, white & berry sangria ahead of time and have it ready before my guests arrive.

I just wait to add the lemon-lime soda until it’s time to serve so that it doesn’t lose it’s fizz.

But I can also prepare the wine glasses ahead of time too and have those chilling in the freezer to save time.

It’s also easy to double the quantity as needed based on how many servings I need.

Or you can simply make a small amount in a pitcher if your gathering is intimate.

I have my eye on this sangria set for my next party.blank

And serving a nice sangria means I don’t have to bust my budget on the bar.

Since you’re adding fruit, liquor, and other flavors to the wine, you don’t have to purchase the most expensive wine out there.

Let the fruit do the work for you.

Another great summertime sangria to make is our Texas Peach Sangria.

Made with fresh peaches, it’s a perfect sipping sangria.

I don’t have to hire a bartender, so this saves me additional money as well.

I can set up a convenient drinks station using drinks dispensers or large pitchers and let my guests serve themselves.

I like to have a dedicated table for sangria and infused waters with a large container for ice.

Sangria ingredients:

1 750 ml bottle of Moscato

2 cups lemon-lime soda

1 cup light rum

4 cups frozen blueberries

4 cups frozen strawberry slices

Fresh strawberries and blueberries, for garnish

You will also need a large pitcher or beverage dispenser, a measuring cup, and beverage glasses.

We used stemless wine glasses.

Directions:

Before making the drink, be sure to chill the Moscato wine for at least an hour.

You may chill it either in the refrigerator or in a champagne bucket with ice.

Open the bottle of Moscato.

Fill your pitcher or beverage dispenser with the Moscato, lemon-lime soda, and rum.

Stir the mixture until it is well-mixed.

In each of your wine glasses, add a heaping half cup of frozen strawberries in a layer in the bottom of the glass.

Next, add your frozen blueberries to the glasses to make the next layer.

The frozen fruit will serve as your ice cubes for the sangria.

Next, pour the Moscato, rum and lemon-lime soda mixture over the frozen berries.

The frozen berries will float a little bit.

You may stir if you would like to mix the berries or keep it as is to preserve the red and blue layers.

The drink will turn a bit pinkish red from the berries.

Add a few fresh strawberries and blueberries to garnish the drink.

Enjoy!

We made this for the 4th of July, and it was so good, we’ve made it a few more times since then too I think we’ll make it again for our Labor Day Cookout.
