Enjoy a Caramel Apple White Russian with Butterscotch
With fall right around the corner, the time is now to start planning out your fall drink menu.
And if you’re ready to enjoy something new and unique, this unique cocktail recipe is about to become your new favorite.
Once you realize that you can enjoy that caramel apple taste and flavor without actually eating an apple, your life is about to be changed for the better!
If you’re an apple fan, there’s no doubt that this drink is going to have your attention.
The smoothness and sweet flavor will have you questioning if this wasn’t meant to be enjoyed early in the day.
But don’t let it fool you!
This is a slow sipper that is meant to be enjoyed sitting out on the porch, watching the sunset at the end of a long day.
It’s delicious, smooth, tasty, and simple to make!
Can I use something besides caramel in this drink recipe?
The caramel is a key piece of making that delicious caramel apple flavoring.
But if it’s not something that you want in your drink, just omit and move on with the rest of the recipe.
You’ll find that with, or without the caramel, this drink is still super good.
Ingredients to make Caramel Apple White Russian with Butterscotch
- Vodka
- Captain Morgan Apple spiced rum
- Butterscotch Schnapps
- Apple Cider
- Vanilla Coffee Creamer
- Caramel Sauce
- Ice
- Cinnamon Stick, for garnish
To make the drink, you will also need: a cocktail shaker, a measuring cup or jigger, and a beverage glass.
I like to use a clear glass for this drink so I can enjoy seeing the caramel drizzle on the sides.
But if you’d like to use a mug, you certainly may.
Can I make this drink without alcohol?
Yes, you may. You will omit the spiced rum, vodka, and the butterscotch schnapps.
You will need to make up the lost volume, so I like to make that up with more apple cider.
Then, I add half a teaspoon of butterscotch flavored syrup to the drink.
And if you wish to preserve the rum flavor, you may add a drop or two of rum extract.
Since we used spiced rum in the drink, I also like to use spiced apple cider in the mocktail version when it’s available.
It’s not required and the drink will still be great with regular apple cider.
But the result using spiced cider is closer to the cocktail version of the recipe.
How to Make Caramel Apple White Russian with Butterscotch
Begin by drizzling the caramel sauce around the sides of your glass.
It’s okay if some of the caramel sauce pools in the bottom of the glass.
Fill the glass with ice and set it aside.
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and pour the vodka, spiced rum, apple cider, vanilla coffee creamer, and butterscotch schnapps in the shaker.
Close and shake it until it’s well-mixed.
Pour over ice, but don’t forget the cinnamon stick!
It adds just a little something extra.
And most of all, be sure to enjoy!
