Enjoy a delicious guava mimosa
The secret, of course, is Guava.
If you’ve never tried Guava before, there’s no better time.
Like oranges, guavas are a tropical fruit.
What does guava taste like?
But they taste like a happy combination of many things.
There are notes of grapefruits, pears, and even strawberries in this delightful fruit.
And when combined with champagne or sparkling wine, guava is amazing.
Not only that, these Guava Mimosas are just so pretty – pale pink, like Springtime in a glass.
It fits right in for so many occasions: Easter morning, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, gender-reveal parties, bridal showers, weddings, and more.
And the best reason of all – because you want to enjoy one!
Best of all, they are so easy to make that you can serve them up to your friends and family without missing one beat of the fun!
And our guava mimosa recipe has only 102 calories!
Ingredients to make a guava mimosa:
This drink is so easy to make, you only need two ingredients, Guava nectar (or juice) and champagne.
The recipe makes one drink.
And it can be easily multiplied depending on the size glasses you will be using.
The important thing to note about the recipe is that it follows a 1:1 ratio.
You need:
- Pink Guava Nectar
- Champagne or Sparkling Wine
Note: You may substitute guava juice if you do not have guava nectar.
You may also substitute your favorite sparkling wine if you do not have champagne.
Prosecco and cava work well with this recipe.
Can I serve a guava mimosa without alcohol?
You sure can.
What you will want to do is substitute the champagne for another sparkling beverage.
There’s two ways to do this.
If you wish to preserve the integrity of the mimosa flavor, we suggest substituting the champagne with a sparkling white grape juice.
You’ll still get some of the sparkling wine taste with plenty of bubbles.
And there’s another way to do it that also reduces the calories.
You may substitute the champagne for club soda or a sparkling water.
It won’t truly be a mimosa at that point.
But it will still be a delicious, sparkling drink that will keep your guests happy.
How to serve guava mimosas:
These drinks are perfect to serve at your table.
Simply place a carafe or pitcher of guava nectar on the table along with a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket.
We really like a silver or stainless steel champagne ice bucket.
They are so elegant.
A perfect addition to your mimosa bar
Since a guava mimosa is such a simple drink to make, it can be fun to set up a mimosa bar to let your guests pour their own mimosa.
To do this, simply provide your guava nectar or juice in a carafe along with a bottle of champagne.
If you’re serving other flavored mimosas, it’s particularly fun.
Your guests will enjoy trying different flavors and even combinations.
How to make a guava mimosa:
Making a guava mimosa is one of the easiest cocktails to make.
First you will chill your champagne and guava nectar or juice in advance.
I like to make sure that they have chilled overnight.
But so long as they are refrigerated for a few hours before you plan to serve, that should suffice.
When it’s time to pour the drinks, fill your champagne flute with pink guava nectar.
Depending on the size of your flute, you’ll want to pour about half guava nectar and half champagne.
For a 6 oz champagne glass, you’ll use 2.5 ounces of each.
Just remember to use a 1:1 ratio.
After pouring the nectar, you’ll top the glass with champagne.
You may give it a gentle stir or simply swirl the glass to combine.
If you stir, do so gently so as not to disturb the bubbles.
Note: You will want to pour the champagne at the time of serving.
This isn’t a drink to make ahead of time for optimal enjoyment.
Part of the fun is the bubbly.
