Imagine eating some fresh Homemade Vanilla Fig Jam on some warm toast, or even as a topping on a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
And the good news is, it’s really simple to make it, so get ready to engage your taste buds.
Making Homemade Vanilla Fig Jam
Making homemade jam and preserves takes a little bit of time, but the good thing is that you don’t have to stand over the stove the whole time you’re cooking it.
You just need to be able to keep an eye on it to stir occasionally so that it doesn’t stick.
So if you’re also cooking something else, like a delicious olive oil cake to go along with the jam, that’s an ideal use of your time.
Our Fig Jam Recipe uses local honey instead of processed sugar
This recipe for fig jam doesn’t have any added processed sugar.
Since you make the jam with local honey, you can feel good about serving your family a delicious jam that is wholesome.
It’s also free of preservatives, so you will want to consume the jam within 5 days or else you will need to add a preservative.
Simply keep the jam in the refrigerator after you’ve made it.
But we’re sure you won’t need to worry about it how long it’s sitting in the refrigerator.
It’s so good, I’ll be surprised if you need to keep it longer than a day or two, even if you double the recipe!
