I’d like to introduce you to one of my little friends… a low carb margarita with Baja Bob’s margarita mix.
If you’re a margarita lover and you’re watching your carbs, having some Baja Bob’s margarita mix in your pantry is a great idea!
It’s perfect for when you want a margarita but don’t feel like getting the blender out to make one from scratch.
No judgment here.
We all have days we want a drink but don’t have the energy to do all the things.
It’s the perfect lazy margarita!
Enjoy a no-sugar added margarita
The drink starts out with Baja Bob’s sugar free margarita mix.
You may have heard of them before as they have been making mixers for almost 20 years now.
And they make a tasty, low sugar, low carb margarita.
While the drink itself may not be completely carb-free or sugar-free, it’s a great recipe if you’re keeping the carbs and sugars down since there’s no extra sweeteners.
You may have noticed that I like to whip up lower calorie cocktails with fewer carbs that are low in sugar.
It’s important to me to be able to enjoy myself without the guilt of being off my plan.
So if you’re counting calories, carbs, or points, this is a great, low carb margarita recipe for you to make at home.
It’s Atkins and keto friendly!
And it’s pretty easy to make too!
Enjoy a low carb margarita with a little help from Baja Bob’s
This low carb margarita recipe is low carb and low in sugar!
It’s super easy to make, and it tastes great!
One of the things I like about this particular mixer from Baja Bob’s is that it’s portable and comes in single servings.
Sure, you can get a large pack or even a bottle of it too if you’re making a big batch of margaritas.
In fact, a box comes with 8 single mixers, so if you’re in a pinch and need to make a large batch, simply multiply by 8 and use all of the mixers.
I personally prefer the single serving sugar free margarita mix packets.
They are easier to store in my pantry, and it’s not wasteful.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever bought a big bottle of mixer that didn’t get used all at once that’s taking up a bunch of space in the refrigerator…
An easy low carb margarita
So the margarita mix has zero grams of sugar, zero grams of carbs and only 10 calories.
So it’s pretty easy to keep the calories and carbs in this recipe down.
In fact, it has only 124 calories and 2.5 carbs.

What you need to make a Low Carb Margarita
The ingredients are pretty simple.
The ingredients you need are:
- 3 oz. club soda
- 1 oz. lime juice
- 1 oz. tequila – I used Jose Cuervo
- 1/2 oz. triple sec
- 1 packet of Baja Bob’s Original Margarita Mix Singles
- 1 cup of ice
- lime wedge for garnish
You will need these kitchen tools to make the margarita and garnish:
- Mixing Glass
- Bar Spoon
- Rocks Glass
- Optional: Plate to salt the rim of glass
- Knife
- Cutting Board
Make it a low carb margarita mocktail!
It’s so easy to make this drink as a mocktail.
To enjoy this margarita recipe as a mocktail, simply omit the tequila and triple sec.
In their place, add two more ounces of club soda and another splash of lime juice.
It’s got a lot of flavor without adding a replacement for the triple sec, but you can always add a splash of orange from a citrus wheel if you’d like.
How to make a Low Carb Margarita with Baja Bob’s mixer
The great thing about this particular recipe is how easy it is.
Before you get started, chill your glass.
I used a stemless wine glass, but feel free to use a rocks glass or a traditional margarita glass.
I like to fill the glass with ice and water and let it sit while I’m mixing the drink.
In your mixing glass, add your tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and Baja Bob’s mixer.
Mix well with a mixing spoon.
It will be strong since you haven’t diluted it yet.
Empty your rocks glass and refill with fresh ice.
If you enjoy a salted glass, coat the edge with a fresh lime wedge and dip in margarita salt.
Pour the mixture over the ice.
Top with club soda and give it a gentle swirl with your mixing spoon to mix without losing the effervescence from the club soda.
Garnish with a fresh lime wedge and enjoy!
