Make an Easy Red Velvet Poke Cake

Red Velvet Poke Cake cut into a square, served on a black plate on a red and white polka dot napkin.

You start off with just a regular Red Velvet boxed cake mix. Follow the directions on the box and bake it. And after it comes out of the oven – it’s time to add the magic. You poke holes all over the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon so when you cover it in sweetened condensed milk, it can fill all those holes and soak deeply into the cake.

Then you cover your amazing cake with some homemade frosting made with butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. This adds another level of richness and seals in the moisture. Top your pretty cake with sprinkles or any other decorations you like. And watch the smiles on the faces of your family and friends when you share this delicious cake with them at some special holiday event. What a great way to celebrate the season!
