The sweet crisp flavor of apples combined with nutmeg, cinnamon, and orange is so comforting and friendly.
Especially when served warm from your slow cooker.
Sip from a mug of this cider on a cool Autumn morning while watching the leaves drift down from the trees.
Or enjoy a steaming mug while taking a break from raking those same leaves later in the day.

One of my favorite things about this Slow Cooker Fireball & Red Hots Spiced Apple Cider is how flexible it is.
This tasty treat can easily be enjoyed by children and adults alike since it begins as a mocktail and is essentially spiked.
Whip some up for Halloween Parties or other Autumn gatherings.
And if the party is for adults, you can turn your cider into cocktails by adding in some Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey.

Ingredients you need to make Slow Cooker Fireball & Red Hots Spiced Apple Cider
- 1.5 Qts. Apple Juice
- 1/4 C Red Hots Candy
- Optional: 1/2 tsp Nutmeg (omit if serving anyone who is allergic)
- 1 Orange, sliced
- Optional: 1 C Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
Do I have to use Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey in the drink?
You may spike the drink with the whiskey of your choice.
But we really like using Fireball in this recipe because it adds an intense cinnamon flavor profile.
If you’d rather have a little less of the cinnamon taste but want to still use the Fireball, reduce the amount of Red Hots candies you use by half.
They will still impart some flavor and the gorgeous color, but it will be a little less so.
Can you make this drink without alcohol?
Yes.
It’s easy to serve this drink as a cocktail and without alcohol.
Since you add the whiskey at the end after the drink has cooled a bit, simply omit adding the Fireball to your alcohol-free drinks, and add 1 oz of whiskey to the mugs for those who want to enjoy the drink as a hot toddy.
