Making an Extra Spicy Ginger Mule
The secret is the Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer – Extra Spicy.
This refreshing concoction isn’t always easy to find, but when you do, it is well worth it.
I have good luck finding it at Target.
It has the same refreshing taste of regular ginger beer.
But this is extra strong, and even has little bits of ginger in it.
It is especially suited to cocktails like this Spicy Ginger Mule because the flavor doesn’t get lost among the other ingredients.
Combined with vodka and lime juice, the flavor of Extra Spicy Ginger Beer is simply sublime.
Garnish with lime and fresh mint and serve in a copper mule mug to really amp up the refreshment level.
This cocktail is perfect for Autumn parties and gatherings, so be sure to have lots of ingredients on hand so you don’t run out!
Ingredients you need to make a Spicy Ginger Mule

Reduce the calories further with a Lower-Sugar Ginger Mule:
Brooklyn Crafted also makes a sugar-free version of their Extra Spicy Ginger Beer.
It has only 10 calories per bottle, so if you’re counting your calories or carbs, this would be an excellent choice for you.
It doesn’t sacrifice the flavor either.
You can reduce the calories by 110 if you use the sugar-free ginger beer, making the drink clock in at only 82 calories.
That’s a win if you ask me!
How to make a Spicy Ginger Mule
Pre-Step: If you like your mules really cold, fill you mule cups with plenty of ice and a little water before making the drink.
It will get nice and chilly.
Then pour out the water and refresh the ice if needed before pouring the drink.
If using fresh limes, squeeze 1 oz of lime juice.
Fill a copper mule cup (or other beverage glass) with fresh ice.
Pour vodka and lime juice into the glass.
Then give it a good stir.
Top with ginger beer.
Garnish with lime wedges and fresh mint and enjoy!

We really love making this drink. It’s truly the perfect drink to serve at the end of summer when you still want to enjoy an ice cold beverage, but you also want something that tastes a bit like fall. And if you really want to kick up the drink’s spice factor, you can also grate a bit of fresh ginger into the drink and stir it in (to taste, of course).
