The Spirit Summoner Will See You Now

Yes, we know, calling a drink the Spirit Summoner is a bad joke.

But it’s such a good bad joke!

Joking included, a huge part of the fun for any perfect Halloween party or gathering is to include plenty of “spookiness.”

And this Spirit Summoner cocktail delivers that spookiness in a big way!

After all, sipping on a fortune teller cocktail predicts you’re in for a great time!

Enjoy a Spirit Summoner Cocktail this Halloween

This fortune teller drink is one of my favorite green Halloween cocktails with edible glitter – ever!

With its creepy green color and the sparkle of a little edible glitter, it is easy to imagine that you are sipping some spooky potion that might bring you a fortune.

Maybe this “summoning potion” will call a spirit close to you, or possibly even turn you into a toad when you least expect it!

Even better, it’s so easy to turn this cocktail into a mocktail for the younger crowd.

Simply add lemon-lime soda to your green apple martini mix instead of vodka, and all your Halloween Party guests will be able to enjoy the fun.

Just remember to be a little cautious when summoning spirits.

While a friendly ghost like Casper might be the life of the party – his naughty and noisy ghost relatives might show up and chase all your guests away.

This Spirit Summoner stuff can be serious – and delicious – business!

The Spirit Summoner Cocktail is a spooky apple martini with sparkle.

It’s easy to imagine you are sipping a spooky potion that could bring good fortune, call a spirit, or turn you into a toad!

A fun edible glitter drink recipe

So how do you make liquid shimmery like in this drink recipe?

You use edible glitter, of course!

The Spirit Summoner is a green apple martini made a bit magical by adding some edible glitter.

You can find edible glitter that is both sugar and carb free.

When you’re using it, you don’t need much at all.

Less is more to make a beautiful, shimmery drink.

How do you know if glitter is edible?

Edible glitter is often called several things.

Sometimes you’ll see it called pearl dust, cake dust, or even luster dust.

Now this next part is really important.

When you’re shopping for edible glitter for your drinks, be sure to find one that says food grade or  FDA Approved on the container.

That tells you that the glitter is safe to eat.

When you look at the label, if it says non-toxic – but it doesn’t say food grade – stay away.

That just means that it’s not poisonous – that doesn’t mean that it’s meant to be consumed.

Keep this in mind particularly if the glitter you’re looking at is called luster dust.

Some of that is edible and some isn’t.

Ingredients you need to make the Spirit Summoner

It’s super easy to mix up for your parties, and you can easily whip up a big batch in a beverage dispenser or make it by the pitcher.

You need:

blank

Make it a Mocktail instead

The Spirit Summoner can easily be served without alcohol.

The Apple Martini Mix is a bit tart without the alcohol to cut the sour flavor.

So we recommend adding a bit of lemon-lime soda to taste to dilute the martini mix.

How to make the Spirit Summoner martini

Chill a martini glass.

In a cocktail shaker, combine your Stirrings Simple Apple Martini Mix and vodka.

If desired, add ice to your martini glass.

Pour into your martini glass.

While gently stirring, spoon the edible glitter over the top of the drink and softly stir. Add a little bit at a time to avoid clumping.

And while we’ve made this drink for Halloween, we know its bright green color would be perfect to serve as a yummy St. Patrick’s Day Drink.

Minus the skeleton and ouija board, of course.

I love that this recipe is a 2 way street – for the drinkers and the drivers & the under-age. Everybody is covered and it’s such a great spooky drink to serve.
