If you are looking for a convenient mocktail as a means of cutting down on the booze or just to cool off on a hot day, you’ve come to the right place.

You may be pleased to know that this cucumber mint infused water contains practically no calories since this recipe omits any sugar or sweeteners.

I don’t typically eat the cucumber slices in the water, but you can if you want to.

If you want to eat the cucumbers, I like to do so after shortly after making the drink.

That way the cucumbers are still crisp.

If you’re refrigerated the drink for a while the cucumbers won’t be as crunchy, and that’s a lot of the appeal in eating the cucumber slice.

How to serve Cucumber Mint Infused Water

This cucumber mint infused water is great as a refreshing single glass mocktail but is also ideal for backyard gatherings served from a pitcher.

You can even serve it from a large beverage dispenser. 

I’ve included recipe quantities and instructions for both options so you don’t have to do any guesswork.

Pro-Tip: If you are in a hurry, giving the recipe a stir or gentle shake will infuse the flavors into the water faster!

Ingredients:

  • Small Cucumber
  • Water
  • Fresh Mint

You will also need: a cutting board and knife, a measuring cup, a large pitcher, and beverage glasses.

If you really love the mint flavor in the cucumber infused water, you can gently bruise the mint using your spoon. What you do is gently press the mint against the side of your wine glass using the back of the spoon. This releases the oils into the water.

 

How to make a pitcher of cucumber mint infused water:

It’s really easy to make this cool and refreshing drink.

Begin by washing and slicing the cucumber.

Then wash the fresh mint.

Measure about 10 cups of water and pour it into a pitcher.

If you want to serve it right away, you’ll want to add ice.

Otherwise, put the pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 8 hours to infuse.

The longer it stays in the refrigerator, the more flavor will infuse into the water.

If you want to chill the water for longer than 8 hours, I like to strain the cucumber and mint from it and continue to chill the flavored water without them.

To serve, pour it over ice into your beverage glasses or into a tumbler. 

Can I make a single serving of cucumber mint water?

Yes, you can.

It’s really simple too.

Instead of using the whole cucumber, you’ll want 3-4 slices of fresh cucumber. 

Add these to a tall glass of ice water, and add a sprig of fresh mint – that’s about 4-5 leaves.

Give it a good stir.

If you want the mint to infuse more quickly, gently bruise the mint against the side of the glass with the back of your spoon. 

I like to make a single glass of cucumber water whenever I’m cooking something with cucumbers and have a few slices left over. 

Can I spike the fresh cucumber water?

Sure you can!

In fact, it makes a great drink.

If I’m going to spike it, I like to use fizzy water rather than still water so that it makes a spritzer.

Then I like to add a splash of vodka.

It’s fun to add a cucumber flavored vodka as well.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small cucumber cleaned and sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint washed
  • 10 cups of water enough to fill your pitcher over half-way

Instructions
 

  • Pour water into the pitcher. Add the sliced cucumbers and mint.
  • Put the pitcher in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to infuse. I recommend chilling the water anywhere from 1 - 8 hours.
  • The longer it sits, the more flavor you will get. When serving, add ice to the glass.
