Drink some of that Ol’ Black Magic Cocktail
Multiply the ingredients as needed to serve guests at your witch-themed Halloween party.
It looks perfectly at home on a table surrounded by spider webs, spiders, and other creepy crawlies.
But the most magical thing about the Black Magic Cocktail is how easily it transforms.
Take the spider webs and bugs away and surround it with flowers instead.
Suddenly, this stunning purple cocktail is right at home for spring and summer parties, too.
It just takes a little “costume change” that is surprisingly simple.
In fact, it’s downright spooky!

How to make a Black Magic Cocktail
The great thing about this drink is that you make it right in the glass!
No muss, no fuss, as they say!
Or at least a lot less mess!
Start out by filling your cocktail glass with ice.
We used a stemless wine glass, but for this drink, you can use any glass you like.
Pour the vanilla liquor over the ice.
It’s great if you’ve pre-chilled the liquor before making the drink, but the ice will still make it nice and cold.
Next, pour the grape juice over the ice too.
You want to give it a nice stir so that the grape juice and the vanilla liquor mix together well.
You may find it helpful to put your bar spoon down the side of the glass and let it stir around the glass rather than centering it.
Centering the spoon in the ice can slosh if you’ve really used a lot of ice.
How to garnish the drink
For your garnish, top off the drink with some green and red grapes.
I like to use organic grapes for this.
I find that the organic grapes will add the best flavor.
Then, if I’m serving this drink for a Halloween party, I like to decorate the drink with some fake spiders.
And of course, using Halloween printed straws adds even more fun!
You can even thread your straw through a spider ring too!
