One of my favorite things to do in the summertime is to make homemade ice cream, like this Boozy Berry Ice Cream.
Enjoying some delicious ice cream fresh out of the ice cream maker is just perfection – especially when it also has a bit of wine in it like this recipe. It’s spiked with a touch of your favorite white wine.
Enjoy some boozy berry ice cream
Growing up, my grandfather used to make a batch of fresh banana ice cream several times during the summer.
It became a tradition, and I’m happy to keep it going making homemade ice cream whenever I get a chance. I wonder what he’d think of this recipe?
And while I’m always nostalgic for my grandfather’s recipe, I do love mixing things up a bit and trying other ways to make homemade ice cream.
And sometimes we need some good old fashioned boozy ice cream. Well, this may not be old-fashioned, but it’s definitely not Carrie Nation’s ice cream.
We’ve got your ice cream! And you can have some.
Homemade boozy berry ice cream, that is! And it’s good!

But truthfully, it’s always tasty no matter when you serve it.

With Labor Day weekend coming up, we made another batch of this ahead of time to serve for our picnic. I just had to have a sample. And it saves so well when you freeze it in an air-tight container.
