Chocolate Brownies with White Chocolate Peppermint Ganache

Enjoy making our chocolate brownies with white chocolate peppermint ganache recipe from scratch. These brownies are so fudgy and delightfully chewy on their own, but when you frost them with the white chocolate peppermint ganache, they are out of this world.
Ingredients to Make the White Chocolate Peppermint Ganache:
⅓cupmilk
⅓cupbutter
1 ¼cupsugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1cupwhite chocolate chips or almond bark

1cupwhite chocolate peppermint bits additional

Instructions to Make the Brownies
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease and line a 9" x 9" baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, 2 minutes.
1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter melted
Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until incorporated.
2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a separate medium-sized bowl, combine the cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder. Stir until mixed.
1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking powder
Add half of the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar mixture, beat well, then add remaining half.
Stir in the 1/2 cup white chocolate peppermint chips and then fold the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
1/2 cup white chocolate peppermint bits
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the center is firm to the touch and the edges are crisp and pull away from the edges of the pan.
Allow to cool as you prepare the ganache.
Instructions to Make the White Chocolate Peppermint Ganache
Place milk, butter and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until the mixture is completely incorporated.
1/3 cup milk, 1/3 cup butter, 1 1/4 cup sugar
Remove from heat and then add the vanilla extract and white chocolate chips. Stir until completely melted.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 cup white chocolate peppermint bits
Pour the white chocolate ganache over the brownies and smooth with an offset spatula.
Sprinkle the additional white chocolate peppermint bits on the ganache while it is still wet.
1 cup white chocolate chips or almond bark
Let ganache set before cutting and serving, about one hour.
