Instructions for Apple Sharlotka Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line bottom of springform pan with parchment paper and spray the sides and bottom with Pam Baking Spray.
Using a standing mixer, whisk together the 6 eggs on high speed until foamy.
Gradually mix in the sugar and continue mixing until stiff with peaks - about 8-10 minutes.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, and baking powder.
Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet using a rubber spatula until combined.
Fold in the vanilla and the chopped apples, leaving 1 cup chopped apples for topping.
Pour batter into springform pan and spread remaining chopped apples on top.
Bake in the oven for 55 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow the cake to cool completely before removing the sides of the springform pan.
When ready to serve, dust powdered sugar on top and enjoy!
