Vanilla Doughnut Icing Ingredients

powdered sugar

clear corn syrup

whole milk

red and black gel food coloring
Decorating Ingredients

bag orange candy melts

bag neon green candy melts
Instructions
To Make Doughnuts
Preheat your oven to 350 degree's and spray a doughnut baking pan with Pam baking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
1 cup flour,
1/3 cup sugar,
1 tsp baking soda,
1/2 tsp salt
In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, butter, and vanilla extract.
2 tbsp unsalted sweet cream butter,
1 large egg,
1/3 cup whole milk,
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Combine the wet ingredients in with the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Spoon batter into doughnut pan and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 6 minutes before removing and placing the doughnuts onto a wire rack.
Repeat steps until all batter is used.
Icing Directions
Using a standing mixer, combine the powdered sugar, corn syrup, milk and vanilla extract and mix on medium to high speed until smooth and thick.
1 tsp pure vanilla extract,
4 cups powdered sugar,
1 tbsp clear corn syrup,
1/2 cup whole milk
Scoop about 1/4 C of the icing into 2 bowls.
Add a few drops of red to one bowl.
red and black gel food coloring
Add a few drops of black to the second bowl.
Scoop the two icings into their own piping bag.
Decorating Directions
Dip the doughnuts into the white icing and place onto a wire rack that way excess icing can drip onto the cookie sheet below.
Place a candy melt onto the center of each doughnut.
1 bag neon green candy melts,
1 bag orange candy melts
Allow doughnuts to dry for 20 minutes.
Using the red piping bag and pipe the veins onto the doughnuts.
Using the black piping bag, pipe a pupil onto the center of the candy melt.
Allow doughnuts to continue to dry for another 30 minutes before enjoying!
