What does it mean to jingle your neighbor or friend?

Okay, so here’s the low-down on how to jingle.

To jingle someone means to give them a gift. So in this case, you are the jingler.

To be jingled means to be the recipient of a gift. So your friend or neighbor is who gets jingled.

The important thing is that jingling is done anonymously.

You drop off your gift, and while it’s not required, one hopes that the recipient will return the favor and jingle someone important to them too!

What’s in the “you’ve been jingled” printable?

We’ve made it easy for you to spread a little cheer with a jingle or two by creating this fun printable set.

We’ve even made the printable available for you for free at the bottom of the post.

It consists of a sweet little poem, a door hanger, and a window sign.

The poem wishes them a warm holiday season and kind of explains the purpose of this surprise gift.

Not only that, it also acts as instructions for them to pass it on to someone they care about too!

There’s also a door hanger and a window sign. The purpose of these is to let others know that they have already been jingled.

It’s certainly okay to jingle someone more than once, but for instance, if you’re jingling a few houses in your neighborhood, that lets you know that you may want to give your gift to someone who hasn’t received one yet.
