Does it get more delightful than pouring a cup of Sparkling Honey Cranberry Ginger Punch?
If you’re looking for the perfect punch to serve at your next holiday party, you could probably go with just about any red punch you find.
However, most punches are tropical flavored – and don’t really fit the holiday vibe.
That’s why you need this Sparkling Honey Cranberry Ginger Punch at your next party.
Sparkling Honey Cranberry Ginger Punch
This scrumptious beverage is made of a tantalizing combination of ginger, cranberry, orange, and lime.
Throw in some club soda for that fizzy deliciousness that makes your nose tickle.
And if you want it a little sweeter, honey is a nice touch, too.
Kids and adults alike love this punch just as it is.
And if you want to booze it up for the over-21 crowd, simply add vodka and ginger beer to bring some extra fun to the party.
A healthier punch choice
One of my favorite things about this punch is that it is made with natural ingredients.
Even when mixed with vodka, Honey Cranberry Ginger Punch is actually rather good for you.
Full of vitamin C and other good things, you might even say that this punch can give your immune system a boost during the winter when you need it most.
If that isn’t a great reason to whip up a batch every day, what is?
Ingredients to make Sparkling Honey Cranberry Ginger Punch:
To enjoy the punch as a mocktail, you will need:
- ¼ c. fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped or minced
- 1 c. unsweetened cranberry juice
- 1 c. fresh orange juice (approximately 3 large oranges)
- 1 large lime, sliced
- 1 large orange, sliced
- ½ c. fresh or frozen cranberries
- 2 c. club soda, chilled*
- Optional: 2-3 T. honey, preferably local
- Optional: Additional orange slices and/or fresh cranberries, for garnish
- *Add an additional 1 c. chilled club soda for non-alcoholic version
How to spike the Cranberry Ginger Punch:
If you would like to spike the punch for the adults, you will need to add:
- ½ c. chilled vodka
- ½ c. ginger beer
Note: I learned recently that some people don’t realize that ginger beer is non-alcoholic.
Ginger beer is a more flavorful, spicier cousin to ginger ale.
It’s got a bit more body to it, but it also has a touch less of the fizz.
It’s just the vodka doing the work to make the drink boozy.
If vodka’s not your drink, you may also use a light rum too.
Really, there’s so many tasty liquors you can use to spike this punch that you have a lot of choices.
A nice bourbon or your favorite whiskey is also tasty.
How to Make Sparkling Honey Cranberry Ginger Punch:
Add the ginger, unsweetened cranberry juice, orange juice, lime slices, orange slices, and cranberries to a large non-reactive bowl.
Then gently press the fruit and ginger with a potato masher or wooden spoon to release the juices.
Stir to combine and place in the refrigerator to chill for a few hours.
Remove from refrigerator and strain to remove solids, squeezing out excess liquid from the sliced fruit in the process.
Discard solids and transfer remaining liquid to a large pitcher.
Add chilled club soda (and vodka, if using) and stir to combine.
Taste and stir in the honey to sweeten, if desired.
Serve immediately over ice and garnish with extra cranberries or orange slices, if desired. Enjoy!
