Talk about yummy seasonal flavors, a Bourbon Pecan Pie Cocktaill captures some of our favorite tastes to indulge in.
One of my favorite fall dishes to serve is a delicious pecan pie.
I love it just about anytime, but when the weather starts to cool off, I start to get a craving.
And when I noticed some Pecan Praline liqueur at the store, I immediately decided to start experimenting.
And thus, the Bourbon Pecan Pie cocktail was born.

This Kentucky native loves her bourbon, and it was such a natural fit with these a praline liqueur.
I’ve often spiked a pecan pie with bourbon, so the flavor profile was already indelibly ingrained on both my mind and my palate.
You’ll enjoy serving this drink for just about any fall occasion.
I especially enjoy making these for tailgating and for Thanksgiving.
You can easily multiply the ingredients to make it by then pitcher, punch bowl, or beverage dispenser depending on how many drinks you’re serving.
If you are making a large quantity, we like to wait until a drink is poured to top it off with the ginger ale so the fizz is fresh.
Ingredients to make a Bourbon Pecan Pie Cocktail
We’ve used regular Ginger Ale in this recipe. If you would like to shave off about 40 calories, you may substitute Diet Ginger Ale.
- 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
- 1 1/2 oz Pecan Pralíne Líqueur – we like the one from Evangeline’s
- 4 oz Ginger ale
- 1/2 tsp. Brown sugar
- Pecans for garnish
Can I serve the drink without alcohol?
Yes, you can.
It will be a bit different, and frankly a little sweeter.
But you can still enjoy a sparkling pecan pie flavored mocktail.
What you want to do is to leave out the bourbon and the pecan praline liqueur of course.
Then substitute a butter pecan syrup for the pecan praline liqueur, like the one from Monin.
However, there is a syrup available that has both pecan and bourbon flavors.
And it’s a skinny syrup! Win!
It’s a sugar-free Maple Bourbon Pecan syrup from Skinny Mixes.
It adds a touch of maple flavor, hence the name, but it’s nice and yummy.
How to make a Bourbon Pecan Pie Cocktail
This has to be one of the easiest drinks to make.
No special tools required!
Begin by filling up your beverage glass with ice.
Pour everything in the glass and stir.
Add a pecan to the top of the ice for a garnish.
You kind of want to nestle it in the ice so that it looks like its floating.
