A Low-calorie Shot Recipe
And if you are watching your calories, there is even more to celebrate with these tasty Strawberry Sparkling Party Shots.
The drink itself has less than 50 calories!
Now…if you nibble off the sprinkles and chocolate, you’ll be getting a few more calories, but it’s still not bad.

(Hint – That doesn’t really work, but I won’t tell on you!)
Strawberry Sparkling Party Shots
For a good time, call these sparkling party shots!
They taste great and are so festive.
We used regular multi-colored sprinkles, but you can choose sprinkles that match your event to make it even more fun.
And even better?
They are low calorie at under 50 calories each providing you don’t eat the sprinkle rim.
And if you do eat the chocolate and sprinkles, it’s still not that bad because it’s a small portion.

Ingredients you need to make Strawberry Sparkling Party Shots
(Makes 2 shots)
- 1 oz Vodka
- ½ oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Sparkling Ice Strawberry Watermelon
- Sprinkle Rim, for garnish
- Chocolate Sauce to hold the sprinkles on the shot glasses
Make it a Mocktail instead
You can absolutely make these strawberry shots without the alcohol.
Simply leave out the vodka.
And you still have a fun party shot that’s perfect for all ages.
How to make Strawberry Sparkling Party Shots
In an ice filled cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients and shake.
Pour into a shot glass with a sprinkle rim and serve.
How to decorate the shot glass
To put the chocolate and sprinkles on your shot glasses, here’s what you do:
Pour a small amount of chocolate sauce into a bowl or ramekin.
Pour a small amount of sprinkles onto a plate.
Turn the shot glass upside down and then dip it into the chocolate sauce.
Let any excess chocolate drip off onto the plate.
Then while the shot glass is still upside down, dip it into the sprinkles.
Give it a gentle roll.
The sprinkles will attach to the chocolate.
Then just set them right-side up to dry.
Can I use chocolate syrup for the shot glass decorations instead?
I don’t recommend it frankly.
I find using chocolate syrup can be a bit too runny for this recipe.
Chocolate syrup has a really thin consistency.
You need the thick viscosity of the chocolate sauce to hold the sprinkles in place.
Alternately, if you don’t have chocolate sauce, clear corn syrup will hold the sprinkles on well too.
