The Shark Bite Shot has a Great Nip

Shark Week really gets my adrenaline pumping, and I love to make a Shark Bite Shot to enjoy while watching.

While it’s a great time watching all of the great adventures people have cage diving and swimming with sharks, I know that I’ll forever be a spectator when it comes to sharks.

I’m truly a chicken and have an elevated sense of self-preservation.

The younger me loved to do crazy things, but now, I’m a bit more careful.

So I prefer to enjoy Shark Week from the comfort of my couch while sipping on a nice drink.

The Shark Bite Shot is perfect to serve for themed parties

And this shark themed party shot is just perfect for this.

The Bloody Shark Bite Shot is a versatile shot that’s great for serving at parties for Shark Week, the Fourth of July, and even Halloween!

A blue cream soda cocktail

Made with Big Blue Cream Soda, vodka and grenadine, it’s easy to make and fun to serve.

It goes down smooth with a creamy finish.

It is perfect to serve for your Shark Week festvities, but with it’s bright blue color, it’s also great for patriotic celebrations like for the Fourth of July and Memorial Day.

You’ll also love serving our frozen blue slushie, the Frozen Shark Attack.

And since it’s a bloody themed drink, you can even serve the Shark Bite Shot for Halloween.

Then I like to call it the “Vampire Shark Bite and serve it with some plastic fangs.”

I just love a good theme.

How to make the Shark Bite Shot

It’s one of the most simple drinks you can imagine making having only a few ingredients. You will need:

  • Big Blue Cream Soda
  • Vodka
  • Grenadine
  • Whipped Cream
  • Maraschino Cherries, optional for garnish

You’ll need a couple of common bar tools as well. To make the shot, you’ll want to gather: shot glasses, a jigger or measuring cup, a mixing spoon, and a mixing glass.

How to make the shark bite shot

Shark Bite Shots are a Bloody Good Time

Using a jigger, measure your vodka and Big Blue Soda and pour into a mixing glass.

Gently stir.

Pour into your shot glass.

Pour the grenadine across the back of your mixing spoon.

It will layer slightly and then gradually begin to mix with the Big Blue Soda and vodka.

Top with whipped cream and pour a bit more grenadine on the whipped cream to look like blood.

If you’d like, top with a maraschino cherry.

Serve it as a “vampire shark bite shot” for Halloween

This drink is also a lot of fun to serve for Halloween.

I just use a little more grenadine to make it a bit darker, and of course, for a “bloodier” appearance.

And of course, I have to call it a Vampire Shark Bite Shot then.
